7:00 p.m. on a dark windy evening on Friday 22 Feb 2008. Just coming out of a holiday cottage in Castleton, Derbyshire. Glanced to the right and saw a bright orange ball with sparks coming out of the back shooting across the hill to the right of the cottage. It was traveling very fast and was just above tree level. At first I thought it was a meteorite, but couldn't find any news about it anywhere.
Apparently old folklore about the area mentions the Fiery Drake which is seen sometimes in underground caverns in the area. Just wonder if I saw it above ground? Thank you.
